How Do I Publish a Project to Project Central?

There are four steps:

  • Step 1 - Get the Celtx software.
  • Step 2 - Create your Project using the Celtx software.
  • Step 3 - Add your Project description and cover picture (or video embed if you have one (see below).
  • Step 4 - Publish your story to Project Central

All of the information in your Project - including any Character or Scene Details, or information about Actors or Locations, or props and wardrobe items - anything you add to your Project from within Celtx - will appear as clickable content in your Project on Project Central.

Do I have to have a script or screenplay to publish a Project?

Absolutely not. In fact, we encourage Creators to use Project Central in innovative ways to make their Projects as compelling as we know they can be.

What kinds of files can I include in my published Project?

There are no limitations placed on the type of file that can be included in a Project.

Files native to Celtx - meaning files that are created using the Celtx software like a Scene Details form - will display in the viewer's browser as a normal HTML page.

External picture, sound or video files - meaning files that the Creator added to their Celtx Project from a source external to Celtx - will also display, or play, as the case may be, in the viewer's browser in the normal course.

External files that the viewer's browser can't display or play - like a budget spreadsheet or calendar - will show up as a file that the viewer can download.

Where Do I Upload My Video?

Project Central supports video embeds - meaning you can post your video to your favourite video distributor, like YouTubetm or Revvertm or Google Videotm and then embed the video link in your Project.

The Video will appear as it would on the video distributor's site. When a viewer clicks on the video it will stream from wherever the video has been posted.

Who owns the rights to my Project?

If you created it, you own it.

Per the Terms of Use, ownership of any Project remains with the creator. We do not assert any rights to your content, save that we have the right to remove objectionable content. And that we will respond to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with our stated policy per the Terms of Use.
